Sydney based X Inc Finance has purchased the rights to the telephone number 1300 HOMELOAN for a record $1.2 million. The purchase will accompany the company’s existing numbers, 13 XINC and 13 LOAN.
X Inc chief executive Jennifer Nielson said phone numbers would be a crucial marketing tool in making the company more easily recognisable for the growing number of Australians using mortgage brokers. “Research has consistently demonstrated that phone words are far easier for consumers to recall, particularly when used in television and radio advertising”, she said. Nielson said the amount of people seeking advice on their home loans had increased by 50 per cent since the last increase in interest rates.
